The tools behind your treatment.
What we use at MDS Dental in Badlapur West, and why each one matters for your safety and results.
MDS Dental Care & Orthodontics in Badlapur West places implants with an NSK Surgic AP2 implant motor (physiodispenser) and sterile saline cooling, using the Osstem TS implant system and its Taper KIT of drills. Diagnosis uses Vatech digital X-rays (an RVG sensor and a portable unit), an intraoral 3D scanner and CBCT-based 3D planning. Root canals are done with rotary equipment under rubber dam, and every instrument is processed in a separate sterilisation room with an autoclave.

NSK Surgic AP2 implant motor (physiodispenser)
A physiodispenser is the dedicated surgical motor used to prepare the bone and place a dental implant. Ours is the NSK Surgic AP2 from Japan, driving a 20:1 reduction surgical handpiece. An ordinary dental drill is built to cut tooth at very high speed; it cannot hold the slow, measured, high-torque settings that implant surgery needs.
Why it matters
- The right speed for every step. Each drilling step runs at the speed set for it (the screen in the photo shows 1,000 rpm through the 20:1 handpiece), so the bone is shaped cleanly and evenly.
- Cool, sterile saline at the drill. A built-in pump (up to 75 mL a minute) runs sterile saline from the bottle over the drill. Bone is damaged when it is heated above about 47 °C, so cooling protects the bone the implant has to bond with.
- Controlled tightening. The implant is screwed in slowly with a set torque limit (the motor goes up to 80 Ncm), so it seats firmly without being over-tightened. The reading also tells the surgeon how stable the implant is on the day.
- The same tested settings every time. Eight saved programs hold the speed, torque and cooling for each stage of the procedure.
- Hands stay on the sterile handpiece. Speed is controlled with a wireless (Bluetooth) foot pedal, so there is no cable across the floor and the surgeon never has to touch the control unit.

Osstem TS implant system and Taper KIT
Implants are placed with the Osstem TS system from Korea: TSIII SA implants, matching TS prosthetic parts for the crown, and the Osstem Taper KIT of colour-coded drills.
Why it matters
- SA surface. SA means sandblasted and acid-etched: a roughened titanium surface designed for bone to grow onto and hold the implant (osseointegration).
- Drills matched to the implant. The Taper KIT is laid out in sequence for each implant width and length, so the bone is shaped to fit the exact implant chosen on the CBCT plan.
- Sizes kept in stock. The box in the photo holds implants from 3.5 to 4.5 mm wide and 8.5 to 13 mm long, so the size chosen on your plan is usually ready on the day.
- One system from implant to crown. Abutments and prosthetic parts come from the same TS system, and every implant box is labelled with its size and batch number.

Digital X-ray sensor (RVG) and portable X-ray
A small digital sensor is placed in the mouth and the X-ray appears on the screen within seconds. A Vatech portable X-ray unit is used at the chair, so you do not have to move to another room.
Why it matters
- Lower dose than film. Digital sensors need less radiation than conventional X-ray film.
- Seen and explained immediately. The image can be enlarged on screen to check decay, root canal lengths or an implant position, and shown to you during the visit.
- No chemical processing. There is no film to develop, and images are stored digitally with your records.
Clean, precise, digital.

Which dental clinic in Badlapur uses a physiodispenser for dental implants?
MDS Dental Care & Orthodontics in Badlapur West places implants with an NSK Surgic AP2 physiodispenser, which controls drill speed and torque and cools the bone with sterile saline. Each implant is planned in 3D on a CBCT scan first.
What is a physiodispenser, and why does it matter for implants?
It is the surgical motor used for implant surgery. It drills at a set, slow speed through a reduction handpiece, cools the bone with sterile saline and tightens the implant to a set torque. Bone that overheats (above about 47 °C) can be damaged, so controlled speed and cooling help the implant bond with healthy bone.
Which implant brand does MDS Dental in Badlapur use?
The Osstem TS system from Korea (TSIII SA implants with matching TS prosthetic parts), placed with the Osstem Taper KIT and an NSK Surgic AP2 implant motor. Common implant sizes are kept in stock.
Is there a dental clinic in Badlapur with digital X-rays?
Yes. MDS Dental Care & Orthodontics in Badlapur West uses a Vatech RVG digital sensor and a Vatech portable X-ray, so images appear on screen within seconds at a lower dose than film.
Where can I get CBCT-planned dental implants in Badlapur?
